The unique new twin-exit pipe Taylormade system for Suzuki's new K5 GSX-R1000 fits directly on to the titanium headers, replacing the ungainly and heavy stock, triangular box. In addition to the obvious improvement in looks the Taylormade underseat muffler system gives better weight distribution, aerodynamics and crash protection as well as improved throttle response, mid and top-end power increases (see Power Charts) and superb race-type noise (without being too loud - around 100dB).

Exhaust gases now exit through two of our patented 'Stinger' tapered silencers in the stock bikes tail-section. Stock indicators are retained but the taillight is replaced with a strip LED on a custom carbon-fibre composite license-plate holder. This composite piece also forms the 'backbone' of this special kit: it replaces the stock rear section of the subframe, supporting the pipework, adding to structural integrity AND saving weight. It was designed in conjunction with top Formula One composite specialist John McQuilliam. While 'trunk' space is reduced there is still plenty of room to install an alarm or Power Commander if required.

As with all our systems Taylormade's unique Cool Ceramic Technology (CCT) ensures that heat build-up is kept to a minimum and this combined with the new composite subframe mean pillion seat and pegs can be retained if required with passengers receiving less heat than other factory OEM underseats.

The Taylormade underseat exhaust system comes complete with full, illustrated instructions, new battery tray and all fittings required to replace the original electronics.
