New
Projects
Taylormade racing are working on two new projects in addition to
the recently introduced Kawasaki ZX-10R "Sting" system.
Suzuki
GSX-R "Superlight"

Using
all of Paul Taylors race expertise and a team including famed
race tuner Carry Andrew of HyperCycle the intention is to build
a SuperLight GSX-R750. Of course this will feature our
reknown undertail exhuast system for weight saving and compactness
but more importantly this will be housed in a fully-structural (no
separate sub-frame!) carbon-fibre composite tail that Paul developed
in conjunction with F1 designer John McQuilliam for the HyperCycle
AMA Superbike race bikes. (pic: TM Suzuki) Suzukis 750 is
the ideal choice in combining 600 style lightweight with power similar
to the full litre bikes. The aim, with specialist components from
Dymag (carbon wheels), PFM (high-performance brakes), Spondon (custom
aluminium swingarm) and numerous others, is to achieve the targets
of 350lbs (160kg) and 160 bhp to make an exemplary handling, cutting-edge
yet street legal bike that showcases the current state-of-the-art
in sportbikes as well as the excellence of the contributors.
Taylormade were delighted to take a close look at
the all new Suzuki GSX-R1000 K5 model at the recent motorcycle
shows.

That
exhaust! Love it or hate it theres no getting round that it
makes a distinctive statement that we think we can improve both
in looks, sound and overall compactness. These are John Keoghs
initial back-of-an-envelope drawings showing a twin muffler system
enclosed in the new tailsection.
